If its a cozy pub that you enjoy, the Lorelei will not disappoint. Located in a residential neighborhood, this family-owned Bavarian restaurant is rick in ethic flavor. Be sure to sample a foreign beer before sitting down for your meal. This a very clean, quaint, and welcoming destination.
Atmosphere****
The interior of the building seems larger than it looks from the street. German flags, steins, pictures and beer adorn the back bar while the walls are covered in various Eurpoean designs. It can get crowded in the bar area but this adds to it cozy charm feel. Dining room is secluded and comfortable.
Clientelle***
It appeared that the local seniors enjoy this supper club for early evening socializing. We enjoyed conversation from many "older" patrons which gave the place a more welcoming environment. There were several younger people mixed in at the bar and the bar was pretty segmented. A nice mixed of patrons.
Drinks**
The bar focus seems to be on the various beers on tap. Our old-fashion was average and very pricely. Overall the bar was neat and had your typical bar selections for drinks.
Food**
German/American cuisine with many traditional German dishes. Our meal was okay - next time we need to try more of the German food.
Hospitality**
This is a place where you feel at home as soon as you walk-in. It helps when you meet friendly patrons at the bar. The host was not at the front station, so we did not know if you needed to put your name in. Overall, it is a happy environment which makes for an enjoyable night out.
