Little Bohemia Lodge

Date Visited:  August 7, 2012
Location:       142 U.S. 51
                    Manitowish Waters, WI

This is probably our favorite supper club so far.  Made famous due to Public Enemy that was filmed there which has historic significance and northwoods charm.  Located right off Hwy 51, it is situated a lake among large white pines.  Little Bohemia Lodge is a must stop if you are in the area.

Atmosphere *****
It would tough to beat this northern retreat for ambience. Very historic bar with a giant stone fireplace brings you back to 1920s.  Dining areas are spacious and overlook the lake.  The backroom has the old windows still intact with the bullet holes from the John Dillinger days.

Clientelle ***
Typical tourist stop with people near and far.  Lots of families in the summer vacationing in the area.

Drinks ***
Full far with many different options available.  Old Fashions were good but a bit pricey.

Food ****
Excellent food with a wide range of menu options.  We had steak, haddock, pork and chicken and they were all very good.  We have never been disappointed with any mean and recommend the menu highly.  Fine dining indeed.  Another tip -  they serve breakfast and it is delicious.

Hospitality ***
Bartenders and waitstaff are always friendly and very knowledgable.  No complaints with how we were treated.  We will be back.
